Hi, I’m Marissa Stanko! Welcome to What’s Up? Writing. As a current Rowan University junior, majoring in Writing Arts, I’m curious about the ways writing is adapting in the modern world. Here’s a little bit more about me!
I created this blog for a class I’m taking, but you can find my blogging goals here. I want to make the most of my blogging experience!
Professionally, I provide administrative support for my community college by processing incoming applications and transcripts. I say “my community college” because I graduated from there, and I have been an employee and volunteer for almost three years–work is like my second home. I also have the opportunity this year to be an internal intern for the Writing Arts department, which has richly rewarded me with new skills, connections, and experiences.
On a more personal note, you can find me in my spare time cuddling with my cats and/or my boyfriend, playing Fate/Grand Order, writing, or watching anime. I fell in love with writing a long time ago, and that passion led me to make it my degree. I’m part of a new generation that is evolving with writing and digital media, and I want to better understand my role in this exciting world!
